Frightmares at Buck Hill features four frightfully-scary attractions, including:

  • The Victorian Orchard Manor Dead and Breakfast was built on the Hill by Hector Cromarty for his new bride, Mary.  From the day it was finished in 1892, it has harbored nothing but horror.  Mary died a mysterious early death, and Hector slipped into madness.  The bed and breakfast is now run by a clan of Strigolli, a particularly pestilent form of undead.  Under their management, Orchard Manor is still accepting guests.

  • Bellharm-Lovejoy Asylum was established on the Hill in 1939.  After a 1954 riot by inpatients and staff against the founders, the asylum was shuttered and remains so to this day.

  • The Fright Factory is the newest business to settle on the Hill.  The recent hazardous bio-chemical reaction has puzzled hazmat teams as the factory workers have disappeared and strange beings, not recognizably human, have taken their place.  The factory is experienced in 3D.

  • Those buried in the Haunted Hollow burial ground do not rest peacefully, for this is the dark heart of the unwholesome Hill.  Here visitors will experience what Hector Cromarty called “The Evil Stain” and see him searching for his beloved Mary.  The Haunted Hollow is accessed via the 800-foot “magic carpet” ride ascending to the top of Buck Hill for a walk down through the Hollow.
